ADHD and ASD are complex neurodevelopmental conditions and require a comprehensive assessment. Psychological assessments are conducted over multiple sessions and involve comprehensive clinical interviews, multi-informant normed questionnaires, computerised neuropsychological assessment, intelligence (IQ) testing, and a comprehensive report outlining findings and diagnostic considerations.
Clinical interviews offer insights into an individual's behaviour, emotional responses, and developmental history - helping to identify specific symptoms aligning with ADHD or ASD criteria. Observer reports from partners or family members contribute crucial insights by detailing behaviours observed in different settings, providing a more comprehensive view of an individual's functioning.
Cognitive testing, including IQ assessments, helps determine how symptoms are impacting intellectual ability and functioning. This insight enables interventions to be tailored to cognitive strengths and weaknesses - an essential part of a personalised treatment plan.

Feedback and reporting
Following the assessment process, a feedback session is conducted with the client. This involves a discussion of diagnoses, implications, and options for psychological treatment. Results are provided in a detailed report, which includes relevant background information and developmental history, diagnostic considerations, and recommendations.
Assessment fees
The cost of an ADHD or ASD assessment ranges between $2,310.00 and $3,162.50 (incl. GST), which includes all interviewing and testing sessions, preparation of a comprehensive psychological report, and a feedback session.
